Jon put on a great show in a great listening room. Be sure and stop by Flat Rock Wine Shoppe in Flat Rock, North Carolina. The staff is nothing less than cool, professional and welcoming.

I'm not sure what song Jon sang, but it evidently touched the orthadontist and his wife, Leslie.

One of the many wise men we have met on the road. Huck, you are wonderful, considerate and thoughtful. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Thank you for listening.

Nothing but cool: Owners David and Leigh, Kelli, Ann Marie and Jon. You ROCK! Thank you for your kind hospitality, friendly atmosphere, and warm smiles. This is Christmas to me.

Taking a break.

A little heart and soul compliments of Eileen and Jon.

So, we're in Kentucky and of course, we spend some time at the local coffeehouse. As fate would have it, this particular night is open mic night (yeah, right). Mr. Durham stands on the musicians table as not to disturb another bands equipment and begins a three song set ... non political songs, just for the record.

The owner walks in from the adjacent coffee room and by the look on his face, he appears unhappy. Jon and I met the owner earlier in the day. In all honesty, he was unhappy from the first moment we ordered our hot chocolate and cafe' mocha. I don't get it. What's a personality like this doing in a coffeehouse?

Well, what he's doing is staying, but he has asked Mr. Durham to leave. Jon was beyond gracious to the owner and treated him with the utmost respect. His kindess was reciprocated by a swinging door and a subsequent call to the police.

The next day, Mr. Durham got a vendors license and was invited to play in front of several store fronts on the same block as the coffeehouse. We gave away pumkin spice coffee (it was sweet!) and Jon entertained friends on Main Street in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Nearly everyone stopped and said they enjoyed it or nodded with appreciation...

Some of the coffeehouse kids even came over and had coffee with us and danced ...

There was only one person who didn't seem to enjoy it. Hmmmm. Too bad, Mr. Scrooge.

Now I like this shot. Cool shoes. And Carole, just in case your wondering, I had to bite my lip and not ask any questions. See the signature on the shoe? I was dying to find out the story behind it. It's a sickness, I know, but it is controlable. OK, I worked on my OCD. Your turn: step away from the Aloe! :)

Mom and her three girls ...

I love you, Mom. You are beautiful.

I love kisses from my mom. Twenty years ago, when we lived on Shady Lane, we use to dance around the kitchen ... we had a blast ... and of course, every dance ended with a kiss.

Mom couldn't ask for a better daughter. She loves you, Eileen. So do I. "Believe, when you are most unhappy that there is something for you to do in the world. So long as you can sweeten another's pain, life is not in vain." Helen Keller. Thank God for Annie Sullivan and her healing hands.

My sister, my friend. I love my necklace. It goes with my scarf and ya know what? They're our colors! ;)

Moms have the greatest smiles, don't they? :)

Couldn't have said it better myself. Heed the sign. It's there for a reason.

I took this shot Friday night during Jenny and Munson's wedding rehearsal. I love this shot. You don't have to believe in fairytale's to know this is a love that will last and last and last.
