Michael Reno Harrell – World Premiere One-Man Family Show

ROCK HILL – Award winning songwriter and veteran storyteller Michael Reno Harrell will premiere his new one-man show “My Roots Are Showing” at the Arts Council of York County’s Community Performance Center. The show will debut Saturday, September 18 at 8pm, with additional shows on Friday, September 17 at 8pm and Saturday, September 19 at 3pm.

Michael Reno Harrell’s recordings top the Americana Music Association charts year after year. His music has received numerous awards in Country, Americana and Folk circles. He has been a Featured Teller at the National Storytelling Festival as well as a Teller in Residence at the International Storytelling Center. In addition to touring with his performances, Harrell often conducts workshops in songwriting and storytelling.

“My Roots are Showing” is Harrell’s personal story of his Southern upbringing in the Appalachian Mountains. The hilarious, heart-warming one-man show highlights Harrell’s humor, wit and natural knack for storytelling. Told through both song and the spoken word, Harrell’s story is one to be enjoyed by the entire family. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance by calling the Arts Council office at 803-328-2787 or at the door the night of the show. For more information, please visit www.yorkcountyarts.org.
